JUNE 2010 ISSUE – VOL. 10 #6
The Rev. Jim and Diana Wilson, Coordinators
Dear People of the Northstate Vision:
Early in the year I wrote my conviction that God was not so busy
giving new words for 2010 as he is calling on His people to act
on the words He has given over the past three years. He has called
us into an Elijah season of unprecedented numbers and kinds of signs
and wonders – big, small and downright strange – alongside
record numbers of decisions for Him. He has summarized the season
in Luke 1:17 – go forth in the Spirit and power of Elijah,
to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, to prepare a
people for righteousness. He has issued powerful prophetic calls
for us to release the spirit of worship; choose (and re-choose –
repeatedly) Whom we shall serve; and to rise, take our pallet, and
walk – for the time of paralysis is passed.
That means we need to practice daily releasing worship wherever
we are; choosing Him whatever we do; and walking in the power He
places at our disposal to do whatever we see Him doing – and
He is doing a lot.
The process unfolds slowly – like the crops ripening for
harvest Jesus is so fond of employing as analogies of the Kingdom
coming. I wish I had a dollar for each time in the past few months
I have cried out, “When do the promises come true? How long
must my heart be sickened by deferred hope?” Yet the Lord
keeps saying, “I have waited longer for fulfillment than you
have – a lot longer.”
We are in the harvest season – the crop needs only a bit
more sun and a bit more rain to kick it to the last burst of ripening.
Meanwhile, the Lord has ended drought, called us to root in Great
Commission and Commandment, and dares us to call the harvest in
as we called the drought over – at its onset.
CURRENTPrayNorthstateEVENTS
• PrayNorthState is preparing (as rapidly as we can) to launch
a new radio ministry aimed at fostering intergenerational understanding
and respect. Called Genesis Generation Radio, the two-hour live
call-in program will air on Sunday Evenings from 6-8. It will feature
rotating teams of co-hosts and each team will consist of a boomer
aged host partnering with a genesis generation aged co-host. At
least one member of each team will have serious counseling and crisis
intervention experience and cred. The teams will talk about whatever
is of interest that week while modeling intergenerational honor
and respect to each other. They will take calls from young people
and their families.
• Genesis Generation Radio will be simulcast on Redding’s
KNCR (AM 1460) and Red Bluff’s KBLF (AM 1490) each Sunday
Evening. It will also be heard on the web; the program will reach
four NorthState counties on the air alone. We aim for a September
launch. Jim is seeking sponsors for the program – call us
at 530-941-3470 if God might be calling you as a sponsor. This is
the most ambitious media undertaking we have ever attempted. Yet
we know – and have plenty of confirmation – that it
is an initiative whose time has come in our region. Please pray
and plan to listen as we bring this program to the airwaves.
• PrayNorthState Radio and TV has impacted our region for
Christ since 2001. Our weekly radio broadcasts are heard in Redding,
Red Bluff, Mt. Shasta, Chico, and Yreka; and on television Monday
Mornings throughout the region on Fox 20. Business persons or anyone
wishing to serve the Lord as a sponsor of Christian broadcasting
in a secular venue are encouraged to call us at 530-941-3470 or
e-mail praynorthstate@charter.net.
• If you would like to book or attend any of the teaching
events we do – or learn more about them – call 530-941-3470
or e-mail praynorthstate@charter.net.

WHAT’S UP IN THE NORTHSTATE AND BEYOND
• PrayNorthState TV – which has been on the air continuously
in our region for the past six years – has been forced to
suspend production by the FCC. During an audit of the Fox station
that broadcasts us it was determined that we do not include closed
captioning on our broadcasts. The equipment to bring us into compliance
with federal regulations costs many thousands of dollars. Until
we can secure the loan or donation of some used equipment of this
type Fox is forbidden to broadcast our programming or risk heavy
fines. We ask all of our supporters to pray over this situation
and – if any know where we might obtain this equipment at
no cost – please call us at 530-941-3470. And in case any
are wondering – we are not being discriminated against; we
have simply run afoul of some regulations about which we were ignorant
and no one is willing to make an exception for us.
• National Day of Prayer was the most amazing NDP of the
fifteen years we have been in Northern California. In Redding we
had the largest turnout for the primary observance we have seen
in many years – but the good news is they came with humble
and praising hearts. The Bible Reading Marathon was again a great
success, and the Wednesday Night Prayer and Praise featured many
testimonies – including that of our local Assembly member
Jim Nielsen. A number of people walked the city in prayer. We also
had sick people healed and one deliverance during the Marathon from
an oppressing spirit; that man accepted Jesus and was filled with
His Spirit. Please write and let us know of your NDP experiences
this year – of all years.
• PrayNorthState Radio now broadcasts on Butte Broadcasting’s
Radio KKXX, heard in the Chico region on AM 940 and FM 104.5. We
need businesses to sponsor the adventure – but we praise God
for beginning this ministry pre-funded. Listen for us in the Chico
region on Saturdays from 8-9 AM.
• The School of Prayer and Intercession will be a weekly
event at Etna’s JH Ranch – a Christian guest ranch dedicated
to partnering with Israel and praying in transforming revival along
the Interstate 5 Corridor. Each school covers strategic and pragmatic
intercession on topics ranging from Israel to Breaking Addictions
to Starting a Prayer Group in Your Home. Inquiries may be directed
to Ray or JoAnn Shelton at rshelton@jhranch.com or to Twila Frederick
at 205-879-5601 to register.
• City on the Hill Youth Leadership Conference is an annual
event sponsored and led by the Capitol Resource Institute. COTH
is a weeklong summer camp in which young people receive Christ-centered
coaching and hands-on experience in the legislative process and
through mock sessions in which they role-play as legislators at
varying levels. They hear from experts in government, education,
policy-making, and media. The 2010 event is held at William Jessup
University – a Christian school – in Rocklin, CA from
July 20-25. Contact CRI at kengland@capitolresourceinstitute.org.
• Aglow International Advance is held from Friday through
Saturday, June 11-12, at 3355 19th Avenue in San Francisco. Featured
speakers are California Aglow leaders Carolyn Suty and Julia Rieff,
Pastors Leroy and Leversie Johnson, Brad and Gigi Allen and Barney
Wiget. Registration is $30.00 or $15.00 each session. Call 415-398-9007
or e-mail donnasfaglow@yahoo.com for information.
• The Back to School Project is a faith-based ministry operating
in Red Bluff and Tehama County to provide back-to-school clothing
and supplies for children of all ages. Led by Kimberly Berry the
project is an annual event that uses donations received to take
individual children on a shopping trip – accompanied by a
fully vetted adult volunteer – to prepare for the new school
year. Applications from families in need are being accepted from
June 14 through 18 at Red Bluff’s Lariat Bowl located at 365
Main Street in Red Bluff. Donations may be mailed to P. O. Box 292,
Red Bluff, CA 96080. Call Kimberly at 530-529-4074 for info.
• PrayerSurgeNow is a Chico and Butte County based ministry
led by educator and prayer warrior Dai Sup Han with reach, activity,
and influence all over the state. The ministry conducts a prayer
walk of the Chico State University campus on Saturday, June 19,
from 10 AM to Noon. They walk in order to pray on-site with insight
for the blessing and redemption of the campus and those who live
and work and learn there. Call Dai Sup Han at 530-570-0085 for information
or to participate.
• Bethel Church, Redding, presents the Kingdom Culture conference
June 23-25 at their Redding campus. The featured speakers are Bethel
staffers including Senior Pastors Bill and Beni Johnson; Executive
Pastor Kris Vallotton; and Family Pastor Danny Silk. Worship leaders
will include Brian and Jen Johnson and Chris McClarney. There is
a registration fee of $89.00 for individuals and $155.00 for couples.
Go to www.ibethel.org for more information.
• Those who would threaten religious liberty in our land
are undeterred by court decisions that go against them, as they
are unmoved by logic and the heritage of God. Now the Freedom from
Religion Foundation is suing the city of Ontario, California, for
including our national motto, “In God We Trust,” on
their city seal. (Multiple courts have already ruled the motto constitutional.)
Pacific Justice Institute is defending the city at no charge. This
is nothing more than another indicator that we are witnessing one
of the signs of the times for which our Lord told us to watch –
being hated by all for His sake. Don’t waste time on anger
or fear – pray and rejoice for it all means that He is near.
UPCOMING PrayNorthState EVENTS
• Praying Home the Prodigals comes to Grace Anglican Church
in Oceanside the weekend of August 20-22, to Paradise Nazarene Church
the weekend of September 10-12, and to Word-A-Live Church in Penn
Valley the weekend of October 8-10. Praying Home is the seminar
designed to enable participants to fully engage the amazing Elijah
season the Lord has launched in our midst. Topics covered include
the dynamics of the season itself, the radical power of engagement
with God and with one another, and the breaking off of obstacles
to the ambassadorship for which each of us is born – and for
such a time as this. Call us at 530-941-3470 for information.
• Prophetic Acts With Impact comes to St. James’ Anglican
Cathedral in Fresno the weekend of September 24-26. This seminar
equips participants to prepare their city for Holy Spirit Transformation
through such pragmatic prophetic acts as Bible reading marathons,
targeted prayer projects, Prayer Vanguard, and the placing of prayer
tents throughout the city. While he is in the region Jim will offer
Looking God in the Face: Seeking His Vision to area clergy only;
when God says He means to plant His vision in our hearts He means
it quite literally. Call us at 530-941-3470 for information on either
of these events.
• The Miracle of Healing comes to St. Augustine’s Anglican
Church in Chico October 1-3. Sessions include Navigating the Season;
The Miracle of Healing; The Privilege of Repentance; and The Miracle
of Inner Healing. Praying Home the Prodigals comes to Word-A-Live
Church in Penn Valley October 8-10. Call us at 530-941-3470 for
information on either event.
• Everything we know about revival and transformation are
in the pages of The Holy Spirit and the End Times. All we have to
offer on reconciliation – the pre-requisite for transformation
– is found in Living as Ambassadors of Relationships. The
books sell for $16.00, but we offer the set for $25.00 plus $5.00
shipping. Jim has guested on nationally syndicated radio programs
The Truth Uncovered, The Frank Pastore Show, and Bytes.
Anyone desiring to participate or to gain a fuller picture of any
current or upcoming events should go to the PrayNorthstate web site
at www.praynorthstate.org or call us at 530-941-3470.
