APRIL 2010 ISSUE – VOL. 10 #4
The Rev. Jim and Diana Wilson, Coordinators
Dear People of the Northstate Vision:
Easter is here and with it God’s promise of resurrection
for all of His children, not just for His only begotten. Of course,
even resurrection is a process for this God of ours Who is always
revealed in the procession of His revelation. We are indeed a new
creation from the moment we meet Him; yet the fullness of that new
creation is unfolding as we progressively give Him access to our
hearts and to our lives.
It is the same with corporate (read multi-personal) as it is with
personal relationships – they are all about covenant and they
are all about access. They are about the access we give to Jesus
– He doesn’t say, “I swing the door wide so that
you can come in,” but rather, “Behold, I stand at the
door and knock.” They are even more about the covenant we
make with the Lord as a corporate race of beings – and the
participation in that covenant carried on by you and me.
In PrayNorthState this season is a season of new growth and new
plantings at the same time as we see a rich harvest coming from
soil long cultivated. We are ministering in regions that are new
to us – and we to them – such as New England and the
Midwest; yet we are re-doubled in our commitment to our state of
California. We see much fruit from the broadcasting and publishing
dimension of the ministry – Christian programming is becoming
more and more mainstream in secular media – and this month
marks the debut of PrayNorthState Radio in the Chico region, and
on a Christian radio outlet, although our television programming
has been taped and broadcast in Chico for years. We can only bless
the Lord for His commitment to covenant, to access, and to resurrection
across the board.
CURRENTPrayNorthstateEVENTS
• Prayer Vanguard is a ministry for which PrayNorthState
has trained and coached hundreds for more than a decade. We go into
churches, schools, and businesses (our ministry in the state capitol
is a vanguard ministry) at the invitation of those in charge. We
ask their priorities for prayer; results are sometimes dramatic
and always visible. In April we visit a public high school in Shasta
County, the state capitol in Sacramento, a ranch in Siskiyou County
and a cluster of homes in Butte County. Call us for information
or to support this ministry at 530-941-3470.
• Jim brings our Healing conference to the Order of St. Luke
and St. Anne’s Church in Ankeny, Iowa, April 30 through May
2. Teachings include This Anointed Season, The Miracle of Healing,
The Privilege of Repentance, and The Miracle of Inner Healing. Call
us at 530-941-3470 for information.
• PrayNorthState Radio and TV has impacted our region for
Christ since 2001. Our weekly radio broadcasts are heard in Redding,
Red Bluff, Mt. Shasta and Yreka; and on television Monday Mornings
throughout the region on Fox 20. (We are invited to bring PrayNorthState
Radio to Radio KKXX Chico and KDIA San Francisco as soon as funding
becomes available.) We have enjoyed tremendous favor over the years,
but right now we are in serious need of new sponsors if our programming
is to continue. Business persons or anyone wishing to serve the
Lord as a sponsor of Christian broadcasting in a secular venue are
encouraged to call us at 530-941-3470 or e-mail praynorthstate@charter.net.
• If you would like to book or attend any of the teaching
events we do – or learn more about them – call 530-941-3470
or e-mail praynorthstate@charter.net.

WHAT’S UP IN THE NORTHSTATE AND BEYOND
• PrayNorthState Radio makes a debut broadcast on Butte Broadcasting’s
Radio KKXX, heard in the Chico region on AM 940 and FM 104.5, on
Saturday, April 3. This marks our first foray into Christian Radio
– and we are beginning the adventure unfunded. We need businesses
to come alongside and sponsor the adventure – but we praise
God for beginning this expansion of our ministry. Listen for us
in the Chico region on Saturdays from 8-9 AM.
• 40 Days for Life is a recurring ministry of on-site prayer
for the lives of the unborn and their parents that has been in operation
several times each year since 2007. Their most recent vigil concludes
on April 3 – the day before Easter – and they report
some 607 lives already saved in this season alone. They report more
than 2500 saved lives since 2007 alongside five shutdowns of abortion
clinics (two this Spring) and many decisions for Jesus inside those
clinics – from parents to staffers. This is achieved through
prayer and ministry alone! The next forty day vigil is scheduled
from September 22 through October 31 and will occur in 167 cities
around the country – more than doubling the number of cities
served in 2008. For information check out www.40daysforlife.com.
• The JH Ranch is a Christian guest ranch hosting conferences,
youth events, and family camps near the town of Etna in Siskiyou
County. The ranch is known for hosting intercession for the state
and maintains an identical site in Israel as well. Intercessors
will gather at the ranch on Saturday, April 10, from 10 AM to 3:30
PM for a time of prayer over the state. (Yes, Jim will be there
to pray and lead the sharing of the Lord’s Supper for California
and Oregon.) Call the ranch at 530-467-3468 for information or to
participate by April 5.
• The California Canopy of Prayer is an initiative coming
to California seeking to cover every street in every community with
prayer for the residents and their transformation in the Holy Spirit.
Harvest Evangelism is the ministry coordinating these initiatives
(through local leadership) in the communities of California. In
order to participate – or just to learn more – contact
Pastor Jon Thompson of Redding Transformation at jon@reddingtransformation.com.
• Sierra Ministries International brings the Power to Transform
prayer seminar to Chico Friday through Saturday, April 16-17. Hosted
by Church on the Esplanade the seminar is co-sponsored by several
Chico churches and features Healing Rooms Coordinator the Rev. Dan
Prout. Topics include key prayer principles of Jesus, removing barriers
to prayer, and strategic prayer for schools. Registration is $30.00
per person – half price for youth – and sent to Church
on the Esplanade, 1119 Esplanade, Chico, CA 95926. Call City Light
Church at 530-343-1491 for information. There is no on-line registration.
• Fire on the Mountains comes to Hayfork the weekend of April
16-18 at Solid Rock Christian Fellowship. Chad Taylor brings his
Prophitkos worship team to call on God for the transformation of
this small mountain city that has been plagued by drugs and other
addictions to the point of being newsworthy beyond the county’s
boundaries. Taylor’s visit a few months ago produced a dynamic
address to these issues in terms of praising God and watching Him
come to cleanse the community. Services will be held at 7 PM on
Friday and Saturday and at 10:45 AM on Sunday at the church. Call
530-628-5922.
• Transformations Unlimited hosts the third annual NorCal
Christian Youth Film Festival. Entries are sought at this time and
prizes will be awarded to the winners. The event will be held Saturday,
April 24, at Bethel Church of Grass Valley. Transformations Unlimited
is a Christian media ministry led by the Rev. Linda Langley. Call
530-273-2130 or go to transformu2.org for information. E-mails can
be sent to transformu2@sbcglobal.net.
• Bruce Wilkinson keynotes the You Were Born for This conference
held at Neighborhood Church of Chico from Thursday, April 29 through
Saturday, May 1. Wilkinson is the well known author of The Prayer
of Jabez. Registration is $89.00 per person and $109.00 per couple.
Meetings are from 7-9 PM on Thursday, all day Friday and Saturday.
20% discounts are available for registrations prior to April 15.
Contact the church at www.ncchico.org or call 530-343-6006 to register
or get more info. This is a keeper!
• Leadership Advance returns to Bethel Church, Redding, from
Monday, May 3 through Wednesday, May 5. Senior pastors, ministry
heads, and staffers recommended by their pastor (and spouses) are
eligible to attend and they come from around the world to steep
in the Spirit of the Living God. Call the church at 530-246-6000
or go to www.ibethel.org for information or to register.
• The Bible Reading Marathon 2010 is coming! This annual
event takes place at the Redding City Hall from May 3-6 this year,
but readers can (and should) sign up beginning the first day of
February. Readers spend fifteen minutes speaking the Word of God
over their city. Any Christian who is active in a congregation is
welcome to participate – and we covet your on-site prayers
for the city whether you are reading or not. The event goes on round
the clock until noon on Thursday, May 6, when National Day of Prayer
is observed. Contact Julie Peterson at deanjulie1011@yahoo.com or
call them at 530-604-4098. Early contacts are encouraged as we always
have folks who are too late to get a place. If you have read before
you still need to sign up to have a place.
• National Day of Prayer is the first Thursday of May –
May 6 this year. In Redding we coordinate Prayer and Praise on Wednesday,
May 5, 7-9 PM, and National Day of Prayer from Noon to 1 PM on May
6. A city-wide prayer walk will occur from 2-4:30 PM on May 6. We
thanks Julie and Dean Peterson for coordinating the annual Bible
Reading Marathon from May 3-6. All local NDP events this year are
held at Redding’s City Hall – 777 Cypress Avenue. Call
us at 530-941-3470 for information – and come out to praise
God and seek His face!
UPCOMING PrayNorthState EVENTS
• Seeding the Future comes to Word of His Grace Church in
Bothell, Washington, the weekend of June 11-12. This seminar is
PrayNorthState’s answer to the current economy. It exhorts
and facilitates a combination of prayer and bold investment in the
Kingdom – as God commands in Matthew 6:33 – and teaches
participants how to do both. Call the church at 425-424-3801 –
or call us.
• Praying Home the Prodigals comes to Grace Anglican Church
in Oceanside the weekend of August 20-22, to Paradise Nazarene Church
the weekend of September 10-12, and to Word-A-Live Church in Penn
Valley the weekend of October 8-10. Praying Home is the seminar
designed to enable participants to fully engage the amazing Elijah
season the Lord has launched in our midst. Topics covered include
the dynamics of the season itself, the radical power of engagement
with God and with one another, and the breaking off of obstacles
to the ambassadorship for which each of us is born – and for
such a time as this. Call us at 530-941-3470 for information.
• Prophetic Acts With Impact comes to St. James’ Anglican
Cathedral in Fresno the weekend of September 24-26. This seminar
equips participants to prepare their city for Holy Spirit Transformation
through such pragmatic prophetic acts as Bible reading marathons,
targeted prayer projects, Prayer Vanguard, and the placing of prayer
tents throughout the city. While he is in the region Jim will offer
Looking God in the Face: Seeking His Vision to area clergy only;
when God says He means to plant His vision in our hearts He means
it quite literally. Call us at 530-941-3470 for information on either
of these events.
• Everything we know about revival and transformation are
in the pages of The Holy Spirit and the End Times. All we have to
offer on reconciliation – the pre-requisite for transformation
– is found in Living as Ambassadors of Relationships. The
books sell for $16.00, but we are offering the set – in this
season – for $25.00. Prices include taxes, although a $5.00
shipping charge is added to shipped orders. Jim has guested on nationally
syndicated radio programs The Truth Uncovered, The Frank Pastore
Show, and Bytes. Holy Spirit and the End Times has also been translated
into Indonesian; these books are hot!
Anyone desiring to participate or to gain a fuller picture of any
current or upcoming events should go to the PrayNorthstate web site
at www.praynorthstate.org or call us at 530-941-3470.
