NOVEMBER 2008 ISSUE – VOL. 8 #9
The Rev. Jim and Diana Wilson, Coordinators

Dear People of the Northstate Vision:

Kelly is a friend of ours who leads worship all over the world – in crowds of thousands and in handfuls of people. When not traveling and leading she is a grandmother with a part time job and a heart to care for her friends in need. She is in love with Israel because Her Father is in love with Israel. She embodies the prophetic word that God has been echoing to the Body for over a decade that the age of superstars is over (at least for now) and it is a season of sacramental or prophetic persons having each others’ backs and stepping to the plate as their turn comes to minister and then make way for the next piece of God’s composite revelation. We are called to be a prophetic community in the spirit of 1 Corinthians 12 and she gets that.

She writes recently of a friend who had knee surgery and was recovering slowly – while her husband had to move to another state to find work with which to support the family. Kelly was led to visit Patty and care for her while they waited on God for the heavy lifting and selling some of Patty’s livestock. Two of Patty’s ads were answered by total strangers more concerned about her condition than about getting a bargain. Her immediate needs were met in the sales, but her spirit was exploded into heaven by the compassion of strangers and friends. And Kelly’s account of the event is her portion of God’s revelation for now. That is the prophetic community – working out salvation in fear and trembling – as Paul says in Phil. 2:12 – not in isolation but as members of a two billion plus strong Body of Christ!

The season is of harvest and election. We can vote once – and for the ones who serve God as He is revealed in Scripture. But we need to pray daily for the harvest and for leaders that will prophesy the Culture of Life for all.
CURRENTPrayNorthstateEVENTS
• Praying Home the Prodigals comes to Victory Tabernacle in Sacramento on November 7-8, from 7-9:30 PM (Friday) and 8:30 to 5 (Saturday). This teaching is grounded in Luke 1:17, “he will go forth in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children to prepare a people for righteousness.” It is based on Jim’s book, Living As Ambassadors of Relationships. Call 916-718-6301 or 916-320-0299 for information. Jim is also teaching this course from 7-9 PM on Wednesday Evenings at Redding’s Bethel Church through December 17. Call 530-246-6000 for information or just show up at Mod 5 on the Bethel campus.
• Jim’s new book – The Holy Spirit and the End Times: A Season of Unusual Miracles is in bookstores – and available directly from us. This is the book conference attendees have been urging Jim to write for the past seven years. It is a handbook on pragmatic prophecy and the prophetic community God has called forth since the first Pentecost. Look for it at local bookstores, on our web site, and at our events. The book sells for $16.00 when you buy it from us and the tax is included.

CELEBRATING THE NORTHSTATE FAMILY

We are blessed to hold the first ever live call-in auction to support PrayNorthState’s ministry. The auction is at Holiday Inn on Hilltop Drive, Redding on Sunday, December 7, from 6-8 PM. We call it Celebrating the NorthState Family because we have been overwhelmed by the generosity – and boldness – of so many NorthState businesses and ministries (in this time of economic anxiety) as they donate to this event. We see it as a launching pad for all of us in this season. And we are especially thankful for our major donors who have pledged facilities and equipment, airtime, and underwriting. We appreciate Holiday Inn of Redding, Radio KLXR AM 1230 and KBLF AM 1490, The Institute of Skin Care Science School of Cosmetology and Massage, Rolling Hills Casino, Danielle Christensen and Prima Luxury Spa, Abba’s Child Learning Center, and the Medical Practice of Dr. Andre VanMol. Participation is easy; pre-bid or phone in bids the night of the auction to 530-941-3470.

For Pre-Bidding: Go to www.praynorthstate.org and click the link to Auction. Each item will be described – with photo where applicable – along with donor name, retail value, minimum bid, and the increment by which bidding will increase for that item. Bidding will be ongoing through the live auction itself. If you wish to pre-bid click on Bid Now. (During the live auction all bidding is by phone and a limited number of lines are available.) You will be asked to enter your contact and credit card information – needed to hold your bid. You’ll be asked to enter your confidential maximum reserved bid for the item you want. When you enter the number of the item on which you are bidding you will be entered at the minimum or lowest available bid (in case others have already bid the minimum). As more bids are entered your bid will be automatically increased – up to but not past your stated maximum. On December 7 all successful bidders will be notified and items can be retrieved at the Holiday Inn or they will be delivered to the successful bidders. You can e-mail us at callbidnow@yahoo.com if you have questions, or if you would like a complimentary ticket to be part of the live audience. Keep checking in for updates on existing items or new items. Call us at 530-941-3470 if you have no internet access or have a question.

Some will want to make a donation without bidding. Danielle Christensen of Prima Luxury Spa of Redding will donate a signature facial to the first twenty people making a donation of $25.00 or more – or bidding full price on an item – while supplies last.

UPCOMING PrayNorthState EVENTS
• Prophetic Acts With Impact comes to Jesus Christ Fellowship in Middletown, Lake County, from December 5 through 6. (We re-scheduled this event from the first weekend in November in order to defer to the CALL San Diego.) The conference is held from 7-9:30 PM on Friday and from 8:30 to 5 PM on Saturday. Participants learn how to join with Christians across denominational lines through proclamation of the whole Word and projects of targeted prayer. Prayer Vanguard – praying on site with insight is both taught and practiced at this event. Also taught will be concepts of community transformation and the documentation of what God does. Contact Pastor Eric at 530-587-0149 (River Rock) or Pastor Jeff at 707-987-9082 (Jesus Christ Fellowship).
• Praying Home the Prodigals will be offered next at Oasis Ministries in Sacramento. Jim will teach from 10-12 Noon and 2-4 PM on Saturday, January 17, and from 10-12 Noon and 6-8 PM on Sunday, January 18. This event to prepare us for the special anointing on this season – to go forth in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and prepare a people for righteousness – will be offered at Word of His Grace Church in Seattle, Washington, on February 6-7. Call Pastor Joel Pappas (Oasis) at 916-628-7884 or Pastor Joe McIntyre (Word) at 425-424-3801 for information or to reserve space.

Anyone desiring to participate or to gain a fuller picture of any current or upcoming events should go to the PrayNorthstate web site at www.praynorthstate.org or call us at 530-941-3470.

SPECIAL THANKS AND PRAISE
We ask all of our prayer partners to join with us in giving special thanks and praise for the adoption of Proposition 8 – to re-establish marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman – and for the closing of the Sacramento abortion clinic as a result of the prayers and presence of the Forty Days to Life movement. We ask also that all of us pray for God’s daily blessing and transformation on and for those who have won political office – regardless of who they are – and to pray the words of Psalm 2 over our nation as we enter what appears to many as an extended time of great crisis for our nation. Remember that crisis is a word meaning danger+plus+opportunity. Remember also the signature verse of PrayNorthState – 2 Chronicles 7:14. Look these up – and pray them.
Please pray for our leaders and media sponsors:
Please pray for PrayNorthstate’s Board: Jim and Diana Wilson, Dr. Andre Van Mol, Mollie Wilson, Charles Davidson, Charlie Harper, Bob Newell, and for our newest board member, Linda Hartman. Pray for Taylor Motors, Hue and Cry Security, Redding Custom Home Theatre, Nicolet Glass, TriCord Marketing, Ron Largent and Keller Williams Realtors, Carl Van Dyke Allstate Insurance, Fox 30/Cable 2 TV, Crown Motors, Western Business Products, Gallagher’s Heating and Air, Children First Foster Family Agency, Gallagher’s Heating and Air, Dr. Scott Kremer, Corning Ford, Mercy Medical Centers, and Dr. Todd Royse.
