FEBRUARY AND MARCH 2008 ISSUE – VOL. 8 #2
The Rev. Jim and Diana Wilson, Coordinators
Dear People of the Northstate Vision:
As I write Northern and Southern California have been socked with
a major snow and rain storm. I had to chain up on my way home from
a Northcoast speaking engagement. All of this is important because
the long term weather forecast called for no precipitation on the
way less than a week ago. But people were praying for the breaking
of the drought and God answered the prayers instead of supporting
a negative forecast. Make no mistake – there is a long season
ahead and we need to keep praying even as we declare the drought
broken – the one takes humility and the other courage –
but we have a good and wonderful God who loves us and our state.
This issue of the newsletter will span two months because of the
unique privilege Diana and I have been given to help bring Teen
Challenge to Fiji and Carenet Pregnancy Centers to Fiji and New
Zealand from February 21 through March 9. The ministries themselves
will provide and fund internships for the people from these nations
who will be chosen by their own leaders to establish the ministries
in their nations. We are blessed to know the people who need to
meet each other and to serve as impresarios for this mission. There
are more loose ends to tie up than we can shake a stick at as departure
date looms just weeks away. We ask you to pray and declare that
all is a done deal in Him – the one takes humility and the
other courage.
Living As Ambassadors of Relationships is out and reviews are quite
good; please pray people will be drawn to a book written by an new
author (Jim) and receive the message of new creation and reconciliation
embedded in it. 2008 begins a season of bold humility in the spirit
of John the Baptist. Pave the highway in humble prayer; boldly declare
the Lord’s presence on it.

WHAT’S UP IN THE NORTHSTATE
Jim and Diana travel to Fiji and New Zealand from February 21 through
March 9. This trip will introduce Teen Challenge to Fiji, and Carenet
Pregnancy Centers to both nations – at the request of local
leaders with whom we work. To help raise funds to pay for this trip,
Chef Cal DeMercurio is preparing a benefit dinner and Trinity Lutheran
Church is providing the space in their fellowship hall along with
use of their restaurant class kitchen facilities. Students of the
Bethel Church School of Supernatural Ministry will serve. The meal
will be multiple courses as only Chef Cal can make them –
the menu is a secret – except that he promises beef –
it’s what’s for dinner. The dinner will be held on Thursday,
February 14, Valentine’s Day, from 6:30-8:30 PM.
Reservations are required as we have seating for 50 only. We ask
a donation of $50.00 per person and proceeds fund special travel
for PrayNorthState. Please call 530-941-3470 or e-mail praynorthstate@charter.net
to reserve space – we can’t think of a better way to
romance someone special on Valentine’s Day.
The annual Pastors’ Prayer Summit held at the Springs of
Living Water YWAM Base and hosted by the pastors of the Chico regional
hub was a great blessing to all who participated. It was Jim’s
privilege to facilitate the 2008 gathering alongside Pastors Ken
Malone and Abe Huerta. Pastors and intercessors gathered for three
days of prayer, worship, and fellowship – nothing more –
and the Lord released the themes of repentance, restoration, and
resurrection into lives and ministries. These gatherings can be
held anywhere and for any group. Call us at 530-941-3470 for information.
Capitol Resource Family Impact – Christian staffed –
has begun a new referendum petition drive seeking the reversal of
state laws that took effect in January and mandate the promotion
of same-sex unions in public schools. The first drive narrowly missed
the half million needed signatures for the February ballot in only
seventy days; the new drive must start from scratch gathering signatures
– backers are quite confident this time out. For information
or to become involved, contact Capitol Resource Family Impact at
660 J Street, Suite 250, in Sacramento. (Donations are not tax deductible.)
Karen England leads this drive and may be contacted at kengland@capitolresource.org
and more information may be obtained by calling Meredith Turney
at 916-498-1940.
Jesus Culture returns to the Redding Convention Center on Friday
and Saturday, February 1 and 2. Featured speakers are Dutch Sheets
and Banning Liebscher, with worship led by Chris Quilala, Kim Walker,
and Melissa Wise. There is a $35.00 registration fee and registration
is through Melissa (call 530-246-6000) or at encounter@jesusculture.org.
The event will equip and offer hands-on experience to young people
in effective street ministry and reaching their peers with the Kingdom
and Culture of King Jesus. The event began as a vision of Youth
Pastor Banning Liebscher and has spread world-wide.
National Day of Prayer is observed on May 1 this year. In Redding
a steering committee plans the traditional noon observance at City
Hall and a new evening event at the amphitheatre of the city’s
convention center. Worship, prayer from civic and spiritual leaders,
and extended opportunities for all participants to pray for the
nation, state, and region will be featured. PrayNorthState sees
to it that the Word of God will be spoken in its entirety over the
city from April 28 through May 1 and Redding Transformation launches
a ten day Season of Prayer and Grace from May 1-10. Please contact
us with details of what is being planned in other cities of the
region for this special day and season.
Popular musical artist Phil Wickham will be in concert at Redding’s
Little Country Church on February 15 (Friday) at 7 PM. The event
is an outreach of Outreach America and there is a ticket cost of
$12.00 in advance; $15.00 at the door. Call 530-222-3803 for information.

at the church campus on February 27-29 (Wednesday through Friday)
at a cost of $89.00 per person, $155.00 per married couple, and
$35.00 for persons under 21. Featured speakers include Arlene Kramarik
– a teenager who has been doing art under the Holy Spirit’s
direction since the age of four. Other key speakers include John
Paul Jackson – founder of Streams Ministries and author or
Needless Casualties of War; Deborah Crone – prophetic artist
and co-pastor of the Mission in Vacaville, CA; and Kris Vallotton
– Overseer of the School of Supernatural Ministry and author
of The Supernatural Ways of Royalty.

on Creation and Endtimes Prophecy. Featured speakers are Drs. Duane
Gish, Larry Vardiman, Arnold Fruchtenbaum, and Prof. George Gunn.

Conference April 11-13 (Friday through Sunday) at Springs of Living

Liberty Hill Christian Church team up to present the 11th Annual
Jubilee Campout for bikers and anyone else who loves the Lord –
