California is in a fullblown drought. We are seeing major economic indicators
like the housing market weaken – and popular confidence with them. Serious
prayer is needed from the people called by God’s Name. He has broken drought
in our region several times in the past decade when the people offered prayer
that was sustained, concerted across the Body, and focused on Kingdom issues
such as water for the thirsty and food for the hungry. But the state is also
enjoying more efforts at cross pollination for regional reconciliation in response
to God’s 2004 call to stand together for His Kingdom. We’re in crisis
– meaning danger plus opportunity.
Two years ago God showed me His plan to bless the state economically, physically,
and spiritually. He had deliberately given insufficient living water to bathe
all of the state at once. He showed me a wooden toy box on gimbals that makes
waves when it is rocked on the gimbals. The waves roll to and fro and everything
gets watered – but only so long as the motion and the sharing in the box
continues. He said that the state would be blessed as soon as the regions of
the state blessed one another in a sustained manner.
We call on our southern and central Cal prayer partners to pray that we in
the North get plenty of rain and snow – even this late. They need to prefer
our need to their own as Scripture counsels. We call on our NorCal prayer partners
to pray that we have plenty of water so that we can send it south. We need to
prefer to bless our brethren over storing for ourselves – as Scripture
commands. God moves dramatically each time we conduct Paah-ho-ammi. Let us make
Paah-ho-ammi for each other – begging the rain and snow for each other’s
sake and God’s glory. What might He do?
