Dear People of the Northstate Vision:

It is difficult to believe that we begin the seventh year of PrayNorthState and even harder to imagine all that God has done in the past year. He flexed His power while insisting on our (all of us) partnership in making Paah-ho-ammi 2006 a greater testimony than ever; He has inspired half a dozen communities that we know of to begin speaking the whole Word of God over their land and people; and we have seen our own ministry increase in scope to a degree Diana and I would never have imagined as we travel to multiple states and nations. We plan to travel again to Fiji and Northern Europe in mission, but the greatest part of our ministry will be right here in Northern California – where we were called and where we belong.

The biggest miracles remain those that populate the Kingdom and one of my favorite memories of 2006 will remain the welcoming of twenty-one inmates of the Butte County Jail into the Body just a few days ago; I had the honor of preaching as a member of one of six teams that visited to proclaim the Christ Child at Christmastime. Our ministry is dedicated to spreading the good news in this Northstate region and we are excited about the coming year as we prepare for it with celebration. Whatever we may think about culture wars and hard times for ministry the Gospel is still the best news ever preached and the Lord we proclaim is still present in His power to heal and release – and not in mere words of wisdom. We plan to spend the coming year proclaiming the fact – the fact – that King Jesus is coming and He asks only that we pave a straight highway in the desert for Him.

We joyfully partner with anyone having the same passion. We look forward to sharing with each of you – the prayer, the mission and the victory.

CURRENT PrayNorthstate EVENTS

· PrayNorthState has accepted an invitation from the Red Bluff Daily News to begin coordinating a weekly religion feature. Red Bluff and Tehama County pastors and leaders will contribute a weekly column on a rotational basis and there are possibilities of further involvement with the editorial department. We plan to launch the project on February 1.
· PrayNorthState Radio began in the Spring of 2001 with a Saturday Morning broadcast on Redding’s KQMS. As soon as we can line up the sponsors needed to finance the expansion we will add Red Bluff’s KBLF at AM 1490 as the second station to broadcast PrayNorthState Radio. We are in conversation with two other stations as well and hope to have more news to share in the February newsletter. Becoming a truly regional proclamation of the Good News has always been a dream and it now stands poised to become reality. Please pray.
