| Dear People of the Northstate Vision:
It is the season of thanksgiving for many blessings and preparation
for the celebration of our Lord’s birth. It is also the time
of year when PrayNorthState makes report of the many wonders God
has shown us in the past year – with your participation and
support. It is the occasion of our one annual appeal for continuing
and perhaps expanded support – in prayer, giving of funds,
and even your energy devoted to some of the many projects He has
called out of us. As usual, most of this letter will be about praise
and thanksgiving.
The Lord promised at the end of last year that if we sowed into
the media and publishing dimensions of PrayNorthState we would reap
a great harvest. He is true to His word. This year saw the expansion
of PrayNorthState Radio from one to four outlets and from one to
six NorCal counties. (We will soon add three more counties.) PrayNorthState
TV continues to cover the region as well. We began coordinating
the GodTalk feature for the Red Bluff Daily News in February, and
Jim’s first book – Living As Ambassadors of Relationships
– will be out January 1 from Destiny Image Publishers. Jim
published about twenty-five articles in various regional periodicals
and newspapers. These are all major league praise reports and occasions
for thanksgiving.
It was again our privilege to support many ministries and events
around the NorthState. Jim served as an area Aglow International
advisor, a board member for Imago Dei Ministries, and a volunteer
chaplain and master of ceremonies for the Carenet Pregnancy Centers.
We served in a support capacity for Jesus Culture, Redding Transformation,
the Prayer Tents, A Night to Honor Israel, the NorCal Burn Foundation,
KVIP Radio, and the Chera Ministries – to name a few.
Prayer Vanguard has visited and blessed some fifty sites –
including a dozen schools, churches, parachurches such as Teen Challenge,
and a number of area businesses. (Eight of those vanguards were
made during our overseas mission trips.) We included the Redding
Convention Center and the Cascade Theatre in our prayer vanguard
itinerary, and ten of those visits were to the state capitol. We
visited recovery homes and media outlets. This is all in the favor
of the Lord and we praise and thank Him for it.
We visited Fiji, New Zealand and Scotland in the Spring and had
the privilege of bringing the teaching of Prophetic Acts with Impact
overseas for the first time. We also saw hundreds of people healed
of various ailments and hundreds more receive Jesus as their savior.
We accepted invitations from leaders in Fiji to import the ministries
of Teen Challenge and Carenet Pregnancy Centers to that land; New
Zealand has requested Carenet Pregnancy Centers as well, and we
will make those ambassadorial trips in February and March 2008.
God has done this and it is wonderful – Praise and Thanks.
Back in our own region we coordinated the 5th Annual Bible Reading
Marathon in Redding, the National Day of Prayer observance, and
the 3rd Edition of the Paah-ho-ammi Prayer Project. In the latter
we found three hundred fifty Christians willing to pray daily and
God reduced suicides in the county by almost 90% against the same
quarter of 2006. Decisions for life in Shasta County increased by
130% and youth death was cut by more than 60%. God is so good –
praise and thank Him some more!
In addition to all this we accepted approximately sixty speaking
engagements and taught seven Prophetic Acts With Impact conferences.
We produced fifty-two weekly radio programs and another fifty-two
weekly television programs – each of which showcased Christians
ministering outside of the box as they honor God and love His people
– and each of which were broadcast through secular outlets
so that pre-believers as well as believers could hear the good news.
We sent out the monthly newsletter and added monthly prayer alerts
and updates as well – our publications of this type now reach
about four thousand households each month. Thanks be to God!
The challenges to our ministry – and our stamina –
grow along with the blessings. We continue to seed the future God
provides and we are working to accept invitations to come on two
additional radio stations as soon as sponsors become available for
that purpose. We are developing a new television program about leadership
in the younger generation – Fox will broadcast it when we
have produced a few episodes – and we will bring out a radio
version of the same vision as soon as a few ducks over which we
have no control fall into place in the regional radio market. (Sponsors
are just one dimension of all that God needs to provide in His own
timing.) We hope to see a major staffing expansion in the next year
to spread the responsibilities of the ministry – and that
too will require funds that are not currently available.
The bottom line is that the blessings and the challenges are overwhelming
– and they are wonderful in our sight. We thank and praise
the Lord our God and we ask your further support and participation.
One-time gifts are always welcome, and pledges are even better –
they keep on giving. We thank each of you in advance for prayer,
for whatever financial gifts God may place on your hearts to contribute,
and for your commitment of time and energy to any of our projects
that specially move you. We want you to be assured that any funds
you send or commit are used for the general funding of the ministry
unless otherwise specified. (Overseas mission trips are funded by
special gifts only and we do not mix funds in any way.) Any gifts
are tax deductible – and they can’t tax your prayers
anyway! Our appreciation for your support is beyond what we can
express in words. God be praised – and may He bless you beyond
imagination.
In Christ,
Jim and Diana Wilson, PrayNorthstate
